Caprio served as a judge in Providence for almost 40 years and often went viral on social media for dismissing tickets from residents who appeared on the show and shared their personal stories.

US judge and social media star Frank Caprio has died aged 88, according to his family.

Following his retirement, Providence renamed its municipal courtroom after Caprio in October 2023.
