Facebook and Instagram’s parent company Meta is moving its key content policy team to Texas, according to an announcement that focused on the social media giant moving to community notes and away from third-party fact-checking.

Conservatives have long criticized Meta and other social media companies for moderating user posts and using fact-checks to limit misinformation on their platforms, saying the rules have limited free expression.
