NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a Level 1 out of 5 (marginal) risk for severe weather for a large part of southwest Alabama on Sunday. The strongest storms could have damaging wind gusts and heavy rain. There will also be a low risk for a tornado.

Parts of Washington and Oregon were under winter weather advisories from the National Weather Service (NWS) as of early Friday, with up to 16 inches of snow expected to fall in some parts.
