The Knicks won 16 in a row against the Pistons from Feb. 8, 2020, to Nov. 1, 2024. But as the Pistons’ fortunes improved midway through the season, so did their performances against the Knicks. Detroit won the final three games against New York, including twice at Madison Square Garden, to take the season series 3-1.

The Detroit Pistons will take on the New York Knicks at 6 p.m. EST tonight on ESPN. I find this series to be incredibly interesting, as I think both teams have options to make changes and throw different looks at their opponent.

New York beating Detroit had become something of an NBA certainty, with the Knicks doing it 16 straight times over a span of five years.
