A 28-year-old man who was struck by lightning while golfing in New Jersey last week has died. The death of Simon Mariani, of Franklin Lakes, N.J., on Monday, June 14, was announced in a published obituary. He succumbed to his injuries after he was taken to a hospital, according to the Bergen Record, USA Today and Patch .
