WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The West Sacramento Police Department has made an arrest in a shooting that left a boy critically injured Friday night. The department responded to the shooting reported near Linden Road and Allen Avenue just before 10 p.m., where they found a 16-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds.

West Sacramento police say there is an active scene at a park after a shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon. A spokesperson for the police department said officers responded to Summerfield Park sometime around 2 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
