An appeal for a commemorative playground at the primary school attended by two of the Southport attack victims has reached its £250,000 target. Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, and Bebe King, six, were killed along with seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe in an attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on 29 July.

A commemorative playground will be built in honour of Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine and Bebe King, six, who were killed along with Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, in an attack at a dance class last year.

Sergio Aguiar, whose daughter Alice was murdered in the incident last year, is running the TCS London Marathon for the fundraising appeal.

Any additional funds raised are being distributed to local charities who are helping those affected by the the Southport attack. | ITV News Granada
