Microsoft acknowledged a new known issue in its March 2025 Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11 that may cause the Copilot app to be uninstalled and unpinned from the taskbar.

Microsoft says the March 2025 Windows cumulative updates automatically and mistakenly remove the AI-powered Copilot digital assistant from some Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems.

Microsoft began preinstalling the new Outlook app a few months back in Windows 10 and 11. It replaced the Mail and Calendar app, so offering a way to switch to the classic Outlook was a wise move. But breaking such a trivial feature, a button that redirects you to a download page, is not expected.
