According to ESPN PR, the game between OSU and the Irish pulled in 22.1 million viewers, the most watched non-NFL sporting event over the past year. The game peaked at 26.1 million viewers between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. ET.

Is this the best Ohio State team ever? Who knows? The Super Sophs of 1968 were damn impressive. The 2002 Buckeyes were tough as nails and the 2014 edition beat Alabama. Nuff said. I can’t speak for 1942, 1954 and 1957, but I wouldn’t bet against them.
