W hen Amtrak's new Mardi Gras service between New Orleans and Mobile, Ala., launches next week, Texas passengers keen on exploring the central Gulf Coast need travel only as far as Baton Rouge.

Amtrak has announced that tickets are available for its new Mardi Gras Service that will begin routes along the Gulf Coast on Aug. 18.
