Andrew Fischer on his excitement to join Brewers

Tennessee star third baseman Andrew Fischer was selected with the No. 20 pick in the first round of the Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, becoming the third Volunteer (Liam Doyle and Gavin Kilen) to be selected so far in this year’s Draft.
If Fischer is selected in the first round, it would be the 12 th time a former Shore Conference player has heard their name called that early in the proceedings, and the first since 2016, when Barnegat’s Jason Groome (12 th overall) and Jackson Memorial’s Matt Thaiss (16 th overall) were both taken in the first round.
