Former LSU Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron shared his thoughts on Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman, and it was very positive.
Ed Orgeron, who won a national title during his days as the head coach at LSU, raised those expectations a little bit higher this week when he compared Manning to a current NFL star quarterback that the former coach knows pretty well—Joe Burrow.
Ed Orgeron led LSU to a 5-5 record in the 2020 season and began the 2021 season 4-3, which led the Tigers to part ways with him.
Lane Kiffin appears on nearly every NFL vacancy list, which continues to fuel speculation about a future transition in Oxford. Orgeron’s first stint with the Rebels from 2005-07 ended poorly on the field, but he maintained strong ties with Mississippi high school coaches and influential boosters.
Orgeron also talked about returning to coaching football in the near future during the interview.
