Apple’s biggest assembly partner, Foxconn, has ordered more than 300 of its Chinese employees to return home from its iPhone factories in India, Bloomberg reported, citing anonymous sources.

Foxconn Technology Group has asked hundreds of Chinese engineers and technicians to return home from its iPhone factories in India, dealing a blow to Apple Inc.’s manufacturing push in the South Asian country.

Foxconn, the Chinese firm responsible for assembling iPhones for Apple in India, has reportedly instructed hundreds of its Chinese engineers and technical staff to return to China, ahead of iPhone 17 launch. Over 300 individuals have already departed, leaving behind only a small number of Taiwanese support personnel still stationed at the facility.
