C onnecticut Sun guard Marina Mabrey’s history with the Indiana Fever is well documented. The 28-year-old is not exactly the most-loved player among Fever fans, especially after her incident involving Caitlin Clark during their June 17 game.

After Cunningham went down with a tough knee injury during the two teams' game on Sunday, Mabrey was one of the first people to run toward the Fever star with an outstretched towel in hand — ready and prepared to shield her from cameras and fans while the team figured out how serious the injury was.
