The Texas Rangers are skipping Jacob deGrom's scheduled start this week due to shoulder fatigue. The team says it's just managing his workload, and he isn't expected to go on the injured list.

Manager Bruce Bochy noted that deGrom has already visited team physician Dr. Keith Meister and been cleared of injury.

On Tuesday, asked to pinch hit in a tie game against lefty Angel Zerpa, Jung fell into the same pattern. Swung at the first pitch from Zerpa, which was below the zone, then took two pitches to get ahead.
