WWE shared a surprising injury update for women's champion Tiffany Stratton ahead of her "Saturday Night's Main Event" match.

Stratton's Saturday Night's Main Event match is in jeopardy after reportedly being injured by a returning star on SmackDown.

On WWE SmackDown tonight, Tiffany Stratton was in action, but it was what happened after her match that was the issue. She has been left hurt and with doctors worried after the bout was done.

WWE announced Friday night that WWE women's champion Tiffany Stratton was being evaluated for a knee injury following an attack at the hands of Jade Cargill on SmackDown.

On "SmackDown", Tiffany Stratton made quick work of Kiana James in a non-title match. She was immediately attacked by Giulia. After connecting with the Arrividerci Knee on Stratton, Jade Cargill's music hit. She took the Women's United State Champion down with a pump kick and sent her off the apron with a forearm.

Tiffany Stratton formed an unlikely alliance with a popular WWE Superstar ahead of tonight's episode of SmackDown. The Buff Barbie is currently the reigning WWE Women's Champion on the blue brand.

At Crown Jewel, WWE will attempt to recapture some of the momentum Tiffany Stratton left Elimination Chamber with last February.

Tiffany Stratton was viciously attacked, and her days as WWE Women's Champion may be numbered. A top star looks ready to become the new champion.

Tiffany Stratton has defeated most of the current main roster stars, which has allowed her to have a dominant run with the gold. That could lead to WWE looking toward the NXT roster to dethrone her. NXT has a great women's division right now, and it's only a matter of time before some of them get called up.
