A Chinese national has been rescued alive from a hydropower tunnel in Nepal, ten days after catastrophic flooding, the Nepali Army said. Footage released by the army showed the person being assisted by a medic while on a helicopter. A Costa Rican man believed to be 119 years old could become the world’s oldest living man, pending verification of his birth date. Jose Flores’ identity card states that he was born on July 11, 1907. Flores spends his days napping, eating meals prepared by his granddaughter and sharing stories from his life.
