Hi guys I wanted to talk about “tegaderm or second skin”. below is a short video on how to remove this magical clear bandage. When removing do not rip it off, stretch it away from the middle. Stretching instead of pulling will reduce the risk of skin tears. I’ve noticed many people are having irritation with the second piece. I know i do things abit different then other artists and I don’t make my clients remove this bandage after 24h. I usually tell clients to leave it on 3 to 7 days. You can l

Here is what your tattoo looks like after 4 days of saniderm wear and how we recommend to remove your bandage. Its a lot less painful and less damaging to that tatoo if you use soap and water to help take it off. #saniderm #sanidermremoval #sanidermwrap #tattoobandage #tattoo #tattoohealing #tattoohealingprocess #tiktoktattoo #tiktok #houseofcolortattoo #tattoosbytylerwatkins #arkansasartist #jonesboroarkansas #fusionink #solidink #ultimatetattoosupply #colortattoo #lemontattoo #dialgold #cerave

5 things you should NEVER do after your tattoo appointment 1. Don’t re-wrap it for hours Once the bandage comes off, your tattoo needs to breathe. Keeping it wrapped too long can trap bacteria and slow healing. 2. Don’t wash it with harsh soap No scented, antibacterial, or exfoliating soaps. Use lukewarm water and a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser only. 3. Don’t sleep on it the first night Pressure causes irritation, ink loss, and unnecessary swelling. If you can’t avoid it, keep it clean and lo

We asked our artists: how long should a tattoo stay wrapped? Consensus? It depends 🤔💭 • Second skin: 3–7 days • If it fills with fluid and starts leaking — remove it • Plastic wrap: never more than 24 hours • Healing time changes with color vs. black & grey skin trauma Your tattoo isn’t like everyone else’s so your aftercare shouldn’t be either 👀 📌 Save this before your next session

Wondering how to replace second skin after your tattoo? Here’s how I help heal my new tattoos starting at the 24 hour mark after a fresh tattoo! Wash your hands first! Use warm water to help stretch out the sandierm, pull down until the bandage is off. Then use an antibacterial no scent soap to clean, keep shower water from hitting it directly. Let air dry or pat dry with a paper towel. Then apply your second skin on again for another 3 to 5 days before you take it off! #tattoohealing #tattoohea
