Mint (Mentha) thrives in full sun to partial shade. Plant in rich, well-draining, and moist soil. It is a prolific plant with resilient rhizomes sending out runners horizontally. If allowed, mint will take over an area in the garden, so it’s best to keep mint in containers (unless you have the room to designate a location for it). I put the pots on gravel and pavers to prevent runners and roots from growing into the ground. Make sure to trim it back regularly to promote healthy new growth.Mint i
