Specialist Commandos from 29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery brought the fight to Western Scotland on Exercise Fleet Battle Problem. Army commandos, from 148 Commando Forward Observation Battery (148 Battery), infiltrated deep behind ‘hostile lines’ to call in precision guided rockets to defeat ‘enemy’ Air Defence. Reservists from 105 Regiment Royal Artillery have been trying out the Army’s new ‘blue shell’ capability provided by CUBIC. The technology blends simulated and live training on the 105mm L118 light gun, replicating the process of firing the gun while capturing data to feed into a virtual training environment.
