Caring for orangutan health isn’t limited to one team or individual. It is often a group effort. At Utah's Hogle Zoo the education and animal care departments have collaborated to use the skills and knowledge that both teams have to solve a problem: how do you use the portable EKG machine in a way that allows the animal care staff to still be able to reinforce the behavior of putting their fingers on the machine? After a few prototypes, a 3D printed device was made that did just that. #ocw #oran
